Materials Update

I’m sad to report that my manufacturer has discontinued recycled fabric. All of my designs are still available, and the new fabric has its own strengths. Please have patience with my website, since it will take time to update all of my product descriptions.

When I started Sunny Get Up, my manufacturer was using recycled polyester fabric for some of my products (Longline Sports Bra, Bikinis, Hoodies, Crop Tops) but not others (Leggings, Capris, Onepieces, Trimmed Sports Bras).

In Oct 2025, they switched to using recycled materials for all of my products and I was thrilled! The recycled fabric was less peachy and not as stretchy as the old fabric, but still soft to the touch, had improved resistance to pilling and snagging while staying breathable and moisture-wicking. Personally I felt that the recycled fabric was also a little more compressive than the original. At that time I updated all product titles, graphics, and descriptions to include recycled details.

Now in Oct 2026 they have switched materials yet again and have discontinued the recycled fabric. While I preferred the recycled material for sustainability, and the original fabric for its peachy lightweight feel, this new fabric also has its strengths. The new fabric is thicker, has a softer hand feel, more stretch, along with better coverage and reduced transparency. It also has a new, more elastic thread to improve seam strength and elasticity. The sizing charts are the same, but you might consider sizing up if you prefer a less compressive fit.

Even with this material change, Sunny Get Up is still a sustainable choice! The custom-made print-on-demand manufacturing process is key for reducing environmental waste, and my manufacturer still has many sustainability strengths (see my Sustainability page). I also plant 10 trees for every sale. 🌲

Let’s all keep doing the best we can to make sustainable choices to protect our precious planet. 🌎 ❤️

Thank you for continuing to support Sunny Get Up! 🌞🤸🏻‍♂️
